But I was too hot in my hat and gloves and long sleeve shirt and vest and tights. (Not to mention super dorky lookin)
But I still ran for 90 minutes. I was at an 8:23 ave on the 5.5 miles out. I was hoping to bring it back to an 8 min on the return trip and just barely squeeked it out. 11.26 miles in 90 minutes. from mile 5 to mile5.5, I hit the private road. Its a good hill! I reckon what goes up must come down, eh?
OK.
I sure didn't feel good. Kids with GI problems have parents with GI problems. It was only a matter of time before I joined the ranks.
I guess I better not swim for a while. Man, its been a long time since I last swam!
I am also really missing my yoga. It has helped a bunch with the left IT Band and the right hip.
I guess I'll get back on it when things "settle" down.

Family Reunions
Finally a gorgeous day! It was high 30's and mostly sunny. Absolutely nice. So Gramma watched the little'uns (thanks!) and out I went. Felt good. But legs really felt it after about 1:45 ish. I was going to sell the fezzari, but then I rode it today and it was amazing. I think I love that bike! It might be the wheels, I don't know.
I passed a sister in law's house and close to 2 brothers and a grandpa. Good ride.
Stupid Garmin was dead after charging it all night. RRRRRR, so heres a google earth. (thats not my home there!

Skiing
No, not skate skiing - snowplowing slowly with one kid leaning on a hoola hoop in front of me and another skiing SOLA behind. Then the hoop snapped and it was hot cocoa time.

Thirty Three
Yes, I am older now.
Like an idiot I didn't take the day off. La fam came up for 45 minutes and it was totally the highlight of the day!
In the morning I did a 20 minute run:
1 mile at 8:00 min/mi
1 mile at 7 min/mi
0.5 mile at 6:30 min/mi
the rest at 6 min/mi
Then tabata this! with jeffrey.
Rows, squats, pullups, pushups, situps.
Awful.
Then an hour spin in the afternoon with peter in the dungeon.
Shout hooray.
Have to say, though, I'm a fan of the happy birthday text. All but 2 of the many relatives and friend that wished happy birthday had the courtesy to send an SMS. Its kinda nice to not spend all day in small talk mode.
Yeah, it's my birthday.

I do appreciate the calls too! But with the numbers, its nice to get a happy text and send a quick thanks or exchange a silly textathon with other silly people.

Busy (aka Excuses Excuses Excuses)
Coulda woulda shoulda worked out, but the day didn't allow. Meeting in the AM (shoulda swam b4 work, but was up til 1.)
Then a bunch of people decided to have chest pain or hurt themselves and they spaced it just right so I never got the chance. Not to mention the wavering training time that ended up - tomorrow night!

Hit the timberlakes this morning before woman had to work. 25 minute run. 15 minutes up, 1 minute walk (wuss), 10 minutes down.
2.84 miles 602 feet elevation gain/loss.
Averaged 8:57
so - comparing IM's: Florida had 2622 elevation gain/loss over 112 miles.
St George has 2865 in 45 miles, so it'll be close to 6000 feet over 112.
Holy Shnikees.
IMFL had 2578 over 26.2 miles (according to my 305. accurate? no sé)
IMSG has about 1300 in 13 miles. So overall - it supposedly has the same as Florida.
I highly doubt my data is correct on the Florida end. I'm pretty sure I'm on in St George.
Enough dorking out. I will go to bed so I may rise early and swim.

Cross fit class
Good stuff. Squatting, pressing, lifting. Basic Functional movements. I liked it a lot.

Multiple Me
I have many "me"s. I don't know which one is really me anymore.
Today we saw a bit of the "underappreciated, self pitying multitasking mom" me.
I love yoga. I got there a bit late today (3rd time ever!) and Chris and Amy were there which was cool. It was a good class today. I feel great coming out of there but I wish the positive energy would last longer. hmm.
Ramble ramble.
That's the only thing I accomplished with my physical phitness today.
But I did get some baby clothes sorted out, dishes washed, chicken enchiladas made and eaten, groceries purchased, kids transported to and from school, poo diapers changed, pink frosting made for the cupcakes that the wife made the other day and now the wee ones are in bed.
I'm such a sad sad woman.
Tomorrow is the obligatory class. I'll write all about it.

slacker
Nothing yesterday. Well, I detailed the interior of my 1996. It needed it bad. It got a bunch of oil and a filter, too. 229,200 miles! I've done 140,000 of those over the last 9+ years. You gotta love that car!
Today I spinned for an hour with the Pete. Yee haw.
That was after I steam cleaned the engine of the aforementioned beater.

Quick Run
Again, do what you can with what you've got. So I got 20 minutes in at timberlakes. 13 up, 7 down. Beautiful day, sun in the sky and a skiff of snow on the ground. Felt ok. 1 minute rest at 1 mile (10:30). 2.3 miles total.

Swim and Yoga
1500 yesterday at the OFC. had to kill an hour before they put the 50 meter lanes back up. Stinking High schoolers make it so the lanes are about 18 yards. LAME!
This AM I rolled out of bed and hit the masters (a little late, but thats how I like it!)
500 x 2
4 x 200 with 45 sec rests (odds free evens stroke - back then breast)
8 x 100 with 20 sec rests. (same as above)
Good workout. I was whipped.
Then I hit the yoga at about 10. I love it! I felt better last week, but today was good, took. Definitely a workout.

Yeah, I've been training.
- I picked back up at the end of December and I've been pounding pavement once a week for a while now. Last week I ran 12.1 miles and finally hit that runners HIGH that I've missed so much. It felt so good. No Doubt Stand and Deliver will always remind me of that "flow" moment.
- I started Yoga last Wednesday and I will definitely continue that.
- I went to San Jorge in January and put 12 miles on the course and then rode about 50 the next day, just one Veyo loop. It is going to be BRUTAL.
- Yesterday I went for a run up a big climb - timberlakes. I met up with a good looking bitch. A bulldog named Princess ran with me for a while. I should have taken her picture. She kind of looked like this:
I was a bit frightened at first, thought she'd eat me.
I'll go swimming a little later. And I reckon I'll start keeping track of my adventures again. Hooray!
