The next generation of Tridorks is rising

So, my eldest child jumped in the deep end of a pool, swam 75 yards, biked 2.3 miles and ran 0.6 miles.
It was like an iron man for her. She did so great and loved it. Her support crew was amazing. Got up early and cheered her on.
I told her she could pull herself along the lane lines if she got to tired. then she should continue swimming. Well, she headed straight for it and used it the whole time. Sweet. She biked extremely well on her huffy. I met her part way through and ran a few minutes with her. Her head was hurting and she was not happy. She overcame it though. Then in t2, I handed her a capri sun and half a banana. She took them to go. I had to take the drink back from her at the aid station and she started jogging again. Mama brought her in to a roaring crowd for a strong finish. It was really well organized and laid out nicely. We'll probably be there next labor day with company for the kid.
I felt overwhelmed with pride and excitement for my sweet little thing.

Then we hit the Funky Miners Day Parade, went home for some r and r (one of those r's stands for robin hood.) Then it was off to Grandma's. What a full fun day. (poor spouse had to work from 11-11)
