Biggest one in a while.
Fez and I headed out around 8pm and got all sorts of snowy.
I needed a tauntaun to cut open and crawl into.

Not today

At least I got out before 10 pm, right? Pretty, clear starry night. There were some vampires workin a backhoe on a foundation. Must have cement coming tomorrow I reckon.
Fez hung with me for longer than usual. Got some "freshies" again.
Oh! I skiied at DV with Mike. Took a run with Sue. Had a physical before that and learned a new exam after all that. not a bad day.

Some day

Someday I'll run more than a mile again at a time other than 10 pm.
Someday I'll be that cool.
My dog still loves it.
It was snowing and right lovely.

HEMATOLOGY

let me be.

I thought I might do an old favorite crossfit. Knowing that I have become a marshmallow, I cut the reps in half. By the time I finished the pushups (so weak), I decided not to run the second mile. Gotta start somewhere, right?
1 mile in 7:34
50 pullups (15,15,11,9)
100 pushups(30,20,20,20,10) - I know!
150 air squats (50, 50, 30, 20)

Stay with it? Yeah, I probably should...

Slower than b4

6:37 from a dead start on the treadster, then apple pie and vanilla ice cream! Yum. I miss long runs and runs with friends. Frogman, BHM, Dan, Sean, Jeff. Some day. Soon I hope...

Surprise

Have I ever mentioned that I am married to the most amazing woman? She pulled off such a fun surprise party full of my "eclectic" (overused word of 2009) friends. total blast. Over 40 adults and probably as many kids.
My split personalities were going crazy trying to talk to everyone and catch up with people I hadn't seen in a while. Truly surprised and amazed. It really made me see how lucky I am. Obviously I have an amazing family, with whom I got to bowl as the distractor for the party, but this made me see how many amazing friends I'm lucky enough to have.

Oh and the poem? PRICELESS

So, on the way home from clinic, I pulled over and ran a mile point one on a packed snowy trail. 7:30 pace.
Gotta do it.

Cross country

Tied into the 100 trail again, but went backwards on it for a spell. 4.35 miles in 49 min. 800 feet elevation. I chose the trail that ended (oops) and then dropped down the hillside amid game trails and bare scrub oak. Got me some good pin striping on my legs. I giggled when a tree took my hat off and threw it on the ground.

Made it to dinner with my fam and parents. Very nice. Thanks!

"You shouldn't be doing that with your patients anyway, Alex." Haha
