that was close

Got my partner back today. Had a busy morning and a total crash in the afternoon. Me tired.
i was bedding down for the night when I realized that I had not done my mile! so, at 11:30 pm, I threw on some shorts - y nada mas - and spent 8:37 on the treadmill. About 6:24 into it, Sean gives me a wtf look in the window. Sorry! 2 more minutes.
Gotta keep it going.

home again

dog again. after a long drive and stopping to pick up our animals (thanks again Carol!), Fez and i went for a dark, cool one miler. The moon wasn't even out and I thought about how "grand" it would have been to be in the grand canyon after sunset with a super moon and stars. (still getting over it...)

The morning after

Steve and Mike at the top of bright angel, surrounded by random (and hot) strangers hiking, too.
While other napped, I played with the kidlets in the pool and went for a mile and a halfer in the amazing weather of tusayan. Tight calves.

Rim to Rim to Tim

Late start, bloody nose, lots of rests and screwin around, go-pro moments. Sounds fun, huh? Well it was! But while all of that leads to a fun and amazing adventure which I enjoyed greatly, they did not contribute to the completion of a bucket list check.
What a beautiful trail, great company, and gorgeous weather. Got me some runners high. Got me some runners low.
More to come...
I believe the count was 25 miles. Yea, lets go with that.

Nice meals with amigos (except wendy's)
Kneader french toast in the am and pasta primavera in the pm. Ready to rock!
Trotted over to the general store for some goods and back and called it my mile. Tweaked the knee. Steve'll hook me up tomorrow, eh? Ready to rock and roll...

and again

one lap around the "barn" and then up til 1am tomorrow on transports. Not good considering we're driving all day tomorrow. Oh well.
