We close at 7
I got here after 6. 40 minutes of 50 meter laps. Better than nothing I suppose.
Skiing with the wife and 2 kids. Good times. Great weather.

Four off
Wicked tired Monday night. Then weak and ill Tuesday and Wednesday.
I think it was a sinus headache type thing.
Daddy daycare yesterday. Woke up early today, but couldn't get going to make it to swim on time. So I got the mountain bike down and went and rode it on the Deer Creek trail. It was quite lovely until the rear dérailleur acted up. I guess its time to go single speed and just simplify. Hour Twenty to go 11.5 miles. I was enjoying it though. Then I ran a mile (half up half down) in 7:50 mostly just to see what it's like to run with a camel back. Not bad, really.
OK, I guess I'll muddle for a couple more days and then its rest and SUFFER SGIM.

I'm Dreaming of a White Easters
Pretty Easter Morn with 2 inches of fresh snow on the ground.
The bunny came and the kids were really happy.
I was out at noon and back at 2.
1 hour 57 minutes 30 seconds and 14.34 miles. (8:12)
First 5 were a gradual climb, meaning the last 5 were a gradual descent.
From 5 to 7.17 were ARRIBA!

1800 feet of ascent. Beautiful though.
13.1 split was 1:47:55.
That's only 25 seconds back from my mostly downhill run in the canyon last year and it was 30 seconds better that Boise 70.3's split. Hoo-rah.
Now I need to go hop in a cold tub.
PB and honey 40 minutes b4 leaving. Iskiate 5 minutes before leaving.
10 oz Gatorade, 20 oz H2O on the belt.
Hammer Gel at 45 minutes.
Iskiate at 1 hour.
Granola Bar at 1:25.
36 degrees or so. Light breeze.

Face Shots
I haven't had any "sick" skiing for so long. Today my oldest kiddo and I went skiing. Grandpa and Uncle Pete, too.
Grandpa took her for for one run and I got to bomb the trees and there were huge staches of leftover powder. My sore legs didn't appreciate the continuous tele turns (aka lunges), but the rest of me didn't care. Oh, I love getting down it there and letting the snow fly up and over and everywhere. It was a great two runs.
Thanks, Dad.

I died
I though it would be a funny april fool's joke if my partner at work called my wife and told her I had died in a fire or something. He thought that maybe that was a bad idea. I concurred.
That stroke of brilliance came to me while I sat on the lame-o trainer and spinned my legs for an hour while watching Price is Right. Silly April foolers.
It was a muscle flushing day. I think it helped.
